Develak is an independent iOS app studio: we design, build, launch and maintain native iPhone, iPad and Mac apps in Swift and SwiftUI. We have shipped 34 apps of our own to the App Store since 2025 — and we bring that experience to yours.

What does Develak do?
Develak designs and builds native apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac. We write them in Swift and SwiftUI, on top of Apple’s own frameworks — SwiftData, CloudKit, StoreKit 2, HealthKit, WidgetKit — rather than a cross-platform layer. The result feels at home on Apple devices, stays fast, and is easier to maintain as iOS evolves.
We are also an app publisher. Our own catalogue of 34 apps — health trackers, sports logs, hobby journals, productivity tools and Mac utilities for developers — is where we test ideas, keep up with every iOS release and learn what makes an App Store listing convert. Client projects benefit directly from that practice.
We work remotely with founders, product owners and companies worldwide, in English and in French.

Develak offers six services for Apple platforms: custom iOS app development, iOS app design (UI/UX), MVP development, App Store Optimization (ASO), app localization and ongoing app maintenance. They can be booked separately or combined into one project, from the first idea to regular updates after launch.
How much does it cost to build an iOS app?
It depends on scope: the number of screens and features, and integrations such as subscriptions, iCloud sync, Apple Health or a server. Develak does not publish a price list because no two apps share the same scope. After a first call, we send a written scope and a quote, so you know the budget before any work starts.
How long does it take to develop an iPhone app?
A focused first version can often be designed, built and published in weeks rather than months; a larger product takes longer. Development is always the longest phase. We share a dated plan with the quote — treat it as guidance, since changes of scope move dates.
Why build a native Swift app instead of a cross-platform one?
Native Swift and SwiftUI apps get new iOS features first, feel consistent with the rest of the iPhone, run faster and are easier to update when Apple ships a new iOS. Do you build Android apps?
No. Develak focuses on native Apple platforms — iPhone, iPad and Mac — which is how we keep the depth of expertise our own apps require. If your product also needs Android, we document the iOS app so its specification, data model and design system can be shared with an Android team.
Do you work with clients outside the United States and France?
Yes. Develak works remotely with founders and companies worldwide. Projects run in English or in French, with written scopes, regular TestFlight builds and video calls at times that suit both sides.
Can you take over an existing iOS app?
Yes. We start with an audit of the code, the build setup, dependencies, crash reports and App Store reviews, fix what is urgent, then continue with regular maintenance or new features. See our iOS app maintenance service.
Who owns the app and its source code?
You do. Client apps are published under your own Apple Developer account, and the source code, design files and App Store assets are delivered to you at the end of the project.
