This policy applies to the Undercoat app for iPhone and iPad, published on the App Store by Develak.

Who is responsible

Undercoat is published by Develak, a brand of PRIOMAT LLC, a limited liability company registered in New Mexico, USA (2105 Vista Oeste St NW, Suite E - 1324, Albuquerque, NM 87120, USA). PRIOMAT LLC is responsible for the processing described on this page. For any privacy question, write to contact@develak.com.

Data you enter in Undercoat

Everything you record in Undercoat (entries, notes, photos, settings) is stored in the app’s private storage on your device, where iOS encrypts it with its built-in data protection.

Exports such as PDF or CSV files are created on your device. You decide where to send them; once shared, the recipient’s own practices apply.

We do not receive this data, and we have no server that collects it.

iCloud sync

If you turn on sync, Undercoat stores your data in the private database of your own iCloud account, using Apple’s CloudKit service. It is visible only to you, on the devices signed in to your Apple Account; we have no access to it. Apple stores and encrypts it under the Apple Privacy Policy.

You can turn sync off at any time in Undercoat (where it offers a switch) or in the iCloud settings of your device.

Device permissions

iOS always asks for your permission before Undercoat can use these features, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security:

Camera and photos — for the features that use pictures, such as attaching a photo or scanning a label. Pictures are processed on your device and stay in the app and, if you turn on sync, in your private iCloud.
Notifications — to deliver the reminders you set up. They are scheduled on your device.

Purchases and subscriptions

Undercoat is free to download. Optional in-app purchases and subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple’s terms.

We never receive your name, e-mail address, payment card or billing address. To unlock paid features and restore purchases, the app checks the transaction information signed by Apple, on your device. Apple sends us sales reports that do not identify you.

Analytics, ads and tracking

Undercoat contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDK, and it never asks for permission to track you. Its App Privacy label on the App Store reads “Data Not Collected”.

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your Apple settings, Apple gives us aggregated usage statistics and crash reports that do not identify you. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Apple, which distributes Undercoat and operates the App Store and iCloud, processes data under its own privacy policy.

When you contact us

If you write to us about Undercoat, by e-mail or with our contact form, we receive your name, e-mail address and message, and use them only to answer you. We keep them for 24 months after our last exchange, then delete them.

Deleting your data

Because your data is on your devices and in your own iCloud, you can delete it yourself, at any time:

In the app: use the option to delete your data in the settings of Undercoat, where available.
Delete the app: touch and hold its icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App. This removes the data stored on that device.
iCloud copy: go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage, select Undercoat and delete its data.
Messages you sent us: write to contact@develak.com and we will erase them.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you (in practice, the messages you sent us), to receive a copy of it, or to object to its use. The GDPR (European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland) and US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA give many people these rights; we honour them for everyone.

Write to contact@develak.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France.

Children

Undercoat is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the European Economic Area, unless local law sets a lower age), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If Undercoat starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the app’s App Privacy label before releasing that version. The date at the top of this page shows the last update.
